Noel Gallagher's Arsenal Fan TV Impressions Are Spot On

Noel Gallagher has admitted he loves indulging in a bit of ArsenalFanTV - especially after the Gunners have suffered a particularly bad defeat.

The weekly trials and tribulations of the likes of Mo, Troopz, Ty, DT and Claude, and of course Robbie, on the fan-run YouTube page has become essential viewing for football fans all over the UK in the last few seasons.

As you'll probably be aware, some of the rantings and ravings are pretty spectacular and pretty damn hilarious (if you're not an Arsenal supporter) and lifelong Manchester City follower Gallagher tunes in every week.

The legendary ex-Oasis guitarist is currently doing the rounds promoting his new album, Who Built the Moon?, and when the topic of football came up, Noel couldn't resist giving Robbie and the gang a mention.

His impressions are absolutely brilliant:

We know exactly where Noelly G is coming from. When Arsenal lose a game, it's only right to hop onto YouTube and watch the meltdowns that take place.

Noel, a staunch football fan, once met legendary Italian Alessandro Del Piero and the Juve legend says he was the lucky charm for his country's 2006 World Cup win.

With the final kick of the Azzurri's thrilling semi-final against Germany, in Dortmund, Del Piero curled the ball past Jens Lehmann to confirm Marcello Lippi's team's place in the final. The Juventus man then sped towards the Italy fans to celebrate, with one fan in particular catching his attention.

"I was sat beside his wife. His wife reckons he was coming over to blow kisses at her, but what's actually happened is he's seen me and his wife happened to be there," Gallagher joked to Football Focus. "He then gets it in his head that I'm his lucky mascot, so he said: 'You'll have to come to the final'. He made me wear the same clothes."

Luckily for the Italians, Gallagher did as he was told and dug out the same gear for the final in Berlin against France on 9th July, 2006.

Gallagher's outfit was lucky enough to inspire Marco Materazzi to bullet home Italy's equaliser and encourage Zinedine Zidane to put his head through the defender's chest and thus get himself sent off. The Oasis man's threads then distracted David Trezeguet enough to cause him to slam his shoot-out spot kick against the crossbar and hand the trophy to the Italians for the fourth time.
