Ayr stay three points clear after Craig Moore's late winner at Alloa

League leaders Ayr left it late to beat Alloa 2-1 thanks to Craig Moore's injury time winner at the Indodrill Stadium.

Michael Moffat got the visitors off to a flying start with a fourth minute goal when he headed home Declan McDaid's cross.

Scot Taggart's goal looked like earning Alloa a point, but that was snatched away from them when Moore scored the winner in injury time.

Raith Rovers were made to wait before beating Queens Park 2-0 at Starks Park. Two goals in three second half minutes just after the hour mark were enough to secure the win and keep the pressure on leaders Ayr and leave Queens Park stranded at the foot of the table.

Dario Zanatta, on loan from Hearts, broke the deadlock in the 64th minute before Greig Spence doubled Rovers' advantage with a second.

Abroath climbed to third thanks to Bobby Linn's injury time winner against Forfar. David Cox gave Forfar a ninth minute lead before Leighton McIntosh cancelled that out after 32 minutes.

East Fife were the big winners of the day with their 6-1 win at home to Airdrieonians. Ryan Stewart started the scoring in the first minute before Wilkie levelled for the visitors in the 25th minute.

That was as good as it got for Airdrieonians who conceded five goals before the final whistle. Chris Duggan and Mark Lamont scored before half-time before further goals from Wilkie, Chris Kane and Greg Hurst completed the rout.

Albion Rovers' trip to Stranraer was postponed due to a frozen pitch at Stair Park.
