£27m Manchester United star to leave for European giants on a free next summer, could be a devastating loss for Mourinho

PSG want Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini to join them on a free deal next summer with the Belgian’s contract set to expire.

French outlet Le10Sport have reported that the French club are eyeing up a move the Belgian midfielder and believe they can land Fellaini without spending a single penny if the midfielder is willing to allow his contract to run down.

Fellaini’s future has been in serious uncertainty of late with the midfielder constantly being linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

The Sun recently reported that the Belgian was spotted in Turkey prompting rumours that he would be making a move to the Turkish League with numerous clubs in the top tier of the national division being linked with a move for the Belgian midfielder.

However, it now appears that it is PSG who are leading the chase for the midfielder.

It does beg the question as to whether Fellaini would be wise to move to the French capital considering the extensive talent that PSG already have within their ranks.

Fellaini arrived at Manchester United in 2013 for a fee of £27m from Everton and while he has had a mixed life at Old Trafford he has certainly had plenty of opportunities to grab plenty of playing time. (Fee per the BBC.)

Further, the midfielder has also cemented a key position in the plans of United boss Jose Mourinho. In September the Independent reported Mourinho’s admiration for the star with the the self-proclaimed special one often opting to field the midfielder in crucial games.

It remains to be seen whether the star will depart for PSG but could it really be a wise decision for the Belgian’s career?
