Eoin Doyle's second-half double sees Oldham past local rivals Rochdale

Eoin Doyle scored a superb late double as Oldham claimed the local derby honours with a 3-1 win against Rochdale.
The Lancashire clubs are separated by less than six miles and the home side led after just two minutes when Gevaro Nepomuceno swung in a deep cross and right-back Cameron Dummigan arrived to head in from close range.
It was all square after 16 minutes as goalscorer Dummigan turned villain with a poor defensive header which allowed Matt Done to stride clear and finish from 12 yards.
Both sides continued creating openings, but Rochdale goalkeeper Josh Lillis saved brilliantly from both Doyle and Craig Davies before visiting captain Ian Henderson wasted a clear chance.
Oldham substitute Aaron Holloway could have made an instant impact when he burst down the right and fired off target.
But the Latics were back in front after 83 minutes when Rochdale failed to clear a free-kick and Doyle slammed home a 10-yard shot.
Three minutes later, Doyle produced a stunning strike to kill off the visitors, chasing Holloway's flick and beating Lillis with a first-time volley from 25 yards.
