Morton missed the chance to climb into the top four of the Scottish Championship standings as they drew 1-1 with Dumbarton at Cappielow Park.
The visitors took the lead in the fifth minute when Mark Stewart scrambled the ball over the line after both Mark Russell and goalkeeper Derek Gaston failed to deal with Tom Walsh's low cross.
Bob McHugh equalised for the Ton five minutes into the second half when he hooked a first-time angled shot under Sons keeper Scott Gallacher after a ball in from Gary Oliver on the right.
Gaston produced a terrific save to keep out Walsh's 20-yard free-kick in the 73rd minute which was the best chance of the second half as neither side were able to press for victory.
