Ronald Koeman is under pressure at Everton
The Goodison boss did admit the club’s board is a “little worried” about their plight ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Arsenal.
But Koeman insisted he had their full support going in to Thursday’s 2-1 Europa League defeat by Lyon.
When asked about that backing he said: “That’s not changed. Of course, we have daily contact, weekly contact.
"Everybody is of course a little bit worried about the situation. But that’s normal.”
Koeman is feeling the heat after a £150m summer spree that has so far failed to bear fruit, with the Toffees looking to avoid their fifth league defeat tomorrow.
But the Dutchman defended his signings which included Wayne Rooney, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford.
He added: “It’s not time to talk about this situation, it’s time to prepare our team for Sunday.
"Of course, we have discussions and can speak about tough fixtures and tough start to Premier League and Europa League football, but the position in the table is not the position Everton need to be in. That’s what we need to change.
"I still believe in the players and believe in the signings we did in the summer.
"Maybe everybody can have some doubts about several signings at the moment but the future will tell everyone that the signings were really good.”
