Franchu could decide to play for Spain instead of Argentina

Claudio Tapia, the president of the Argentine FA, has revealed that Real Madrid youth teamer Franchu Feuillassier is more likely to play international football for Spain than for Argentina.

The 19-year-old was born in Argentina, but joined Los Blancos' youth ranks since 2009 and then returned to Real Madrid last year after four years with Rayo Vallecano.

Having spent so much of his youth in Spain, the winger could choose to play for La Roja.

"Argentina exports [footballers] to the world and more and more are going to play abroad," the president told TyC Sports' 'Sportia' programme.

"One of those is Franchu and we've not yet had the chance to have him wearing our shirt.

"He'll end up playing for another national team."

Big things are expected of Franchu and he was one of the players Zinedine Zidane picked to go on last summer's tour of the USA.
