Bayern look ahead after Hoffenheim shock

FC Bayern München are looking ahead to Tuesday's Group B Champions League tie with Anderlect, as they seek to put last Saturday's shock Bundesliga loss to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim behind them.
The Bavarians were stunned by a brace from Mark Uth despite dominating virtually every aspect of the contest against Die Kraichgauer. As a result, captain Manuel Neuer was hopeful the club will become more clinical in future.
He told the side's official website, “We didn't capitalise on the good football we played at the start. We had Hoffenheim in the palm of our hands, and we played really well. We had one or two chances and should've taken the lead at some point.”
Nonetheless, defender Mats Hummels and midfielder Joshua Kimmich were more philosophical saying that the Carlo Ancelotti-coached outfit must re-double their efforts against Belgian champions, Anderlecht.
Hummels added, “These things happen sometimes, this isn't a disaster. But only if we take something from it. The best case scenario would be two wins at home in the coming week.”
Meanwhile, Kimmich concluded, “Now the mid-week games are starting, we’re going to have to step up our game to the highest level.”
