Real Madrid's fullback Dani Carvajal has stated that Marco Asensio's moment is now
Having made 43 appearances across all competitions for Blancos in just over a year at the club, the Spaniard has clearly made an impression during his short time.
Whilst superstar duo Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema were booed in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Valencia, Asensio was praised as he struck twice – including a fine free-kick which rescued a point for the reigning La Liga champions.
Speaking to the Spanish media after the game, Carvajal was quick to heap praise on the young forward: "There is no doubt that Asensio is already the present of Madrid, not the future.
"We have not won one point, we have lost two,
"We got a point and we have paid for the intense month that we have had. We had plenty of chances and we could have achieved something more.
"We let two points get away from us and we had clear chances in which the goalkeeper made a save or Benzema had bad luck.”
