An essential element for this Real Madrid side and someone that oozes success, Zinedine Zidane has renewed his contract until 2020 without even entering into negotiations.
Florentino Perez's choice has been perfect and the continuity of the project is assured thanks to this new deal.
Nobody doubted that the renewal would be agreed, it was just a question of timing.
The coach decided not to make it pubic until the he believed that it was the best possible moment for the team and that it was not going to alter their focus.
As he did when he moved from Castilla to the first team, the Frenchman has not discussed the financial amount within the contract.
He has signed until 2020 and under conditions that the club leaders have deemed appropriate.
With seven titles to his name since taking over, Zidane could've used such circumstances as a position of strength in negotiations and asked for a raise.
That he did not is a mark of the mutual respect that exists between coach and club.
