Grimsby boss Russell Slade could hand debuts to Diallang Jaiyesimi and JJ Hooper for Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Coventry at Blundell Park.
The 19-year-old Jaiyesimi joined this week on a season-long loan from Norwich while striker Hooper has made a permanent switch after a short trial spell.
Slade's attacking options are likely to be limited with winger Sam Kelly set to sit out once again as he recovers from a dead leg.
Jamey Osborne (knee), Sean McAllister and Akwasi Asante (both groin) are all expected to remain sidelined.
There could be a Coventry bow for their new recruit Tony Andreu.
Midfielder Andreu signed on Thursday after leaving Norwich by mutual consent.
The Sky Blues are monitoring the condition of Lee Burge, Chris Stokes and Jordan Willis, who have been sidelined by shoulder, hamstring and foot problems respectively.
Marc McNulty, who missed the 3-1 Carabao Cup loss at Blackburn on Tuesday after suffering a blow to the mouth in the previous game, looks set to be available.
