Can Arsenal's €45m offer change Monaco's mind on Thomas Lemar?
Arsene Wenger means business this summer. Having broken Arsenal's transfer record to land Alexandre Lacazette, he has now returned to AS Monaco with a second offer for Thomas Lemar, L'Equipe reports.
The Ligue 1 champions rejected Arsenal's €40 million bid for the 21-year-old winger, and with three years remaining on his current contract they are under no obligation to cash in, but the Gunners have tabled a €45m offer to try to force the issue.
Meanwhile, Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare has talks planned with Riyad Mahrez to finalise the reported Arsenal target's future. According to the Leicester Mercury, it will take a substantial offer for the former Premier League champions to part ways with a player who has three years left on his contract.
