Antoine Griezmann talks on French TV about Manchester United move

For many months now, Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has been linked with a summer move to Manchester United.

On Monday evening, Griezmann appeared on French TV show "Quotidien" and was very candid about his future.

The presenter of Quotidien asked about playing for Manchester United and following in the footsteps of David Beckham.

6/10 to join Man United

When pushed to give an answer out of 10, Griezmann said it was a 6/10 that he would be playing for Manchester United in 2017/2018.

The French attacker also added "I should know more in the next two weeks. I don't want to follow Beckham's path but have my own."

Griezmann also clearly adds: "I understand what I'm saying". Since it is very rare for a professional footballer, especially one such as Griezmann to talk in this manner on television.

The Atletico Madrid attacker added that it was 7/10 that he would stay where he is. And, 0/10 that he would play for Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

Was Griezmann Trolling Man United fans?!

In response the presenter replied that "I was expecting you to not say much".

Much may well depend on whether Manchester United can secure a spot in the Champions League next season by beating Ajax in the Europa League final on Wednesday night.

Some Manchester United fans have already joked that Griezmann is mocking their Premier League position of sixth with his answer…

Will Antoine Griezmann join Manchester United?

In recent weeks, the Griezmann transfer gossip has been more negative than positive in terms of a move to Manchester United.

Atletico Madrid have been in good form and finished third in La Liga. Coach Diego Simeone has confirmed he will stay at the club and they have a new stadium to look forward to.

This however, sways the likelihood much more and the initial reaction from Manchester United fans has so far been one of excitement.
