United Arab Emirates second-tier club Fujairah FC have announced that they have appointed Diego Maradona as their new head coach.
Fujairah took to Twitter on Sunday to share a picture of the Argentinian legend holding up their shirt, complete with the caption: "Official: Maradaona is coach of Al-Fujairah".
The 56-year-old also confirmed the move on his official Facebook page, writing: "I want to tell you that I am the new coach of Al-Fujairah SC, in the second division of the United Arab Emirates."
Maradona has been out of work since being sacked by UAE side Al Wasl in July 2012 but makes a return to management just over four years after his last position.
The Argentine legend has agreed a one-year deal with the UAE team and Maradona will appear at a press conference next week to discuss his plans for his new side, as they seek promotion to the Arabian Gulf League.
Maradona most famously served as manager of Argentina, guiding the national side to the 2010 World Cup finals, where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Germany.
