A MONSTER who brutally raped a random woman hours before his wedding has been caged for life for the second time.

Derry McCann, 28 attacked his victim in a park just hours before marrying his pregnant fiancee, who is the cousin of the Spurs and England footballer.

McCann, who was released from jail for a copycat rape, had spent the night before the wedding celebrating in the pub with his partner, Kerry Hogg, 27, and her parents.

But Snaresbrook Crown Court heard that instead of going to bed after the do, he went to Victoria Park, in east London.

He then pounced on a 24-year-old woman as she walked back from an art exhibition in the early hours of the morning of Friday, January 13 this year.

Evil McCann had only been released from prison in December 2015 after serving less than nine years of a life sentence for an identical attack on a trainee solicitor.

Today, he was given three concurrent life sentences with a minimum of nine years – the same sentence he received in 2006 when he was 17 years old.

Judge Martyn Zeidman QC, the honorary recorder of Redbridge, said: "Friday the 13th of January 2017 is a date that your victim will never forget.

"You behaved as a monster.

"Raping this victim in every possible way and doing it in a manner that amounted to torture.

"Playing mind games, asking what she was going to do next, and taunting her for almost two hours.

"In addition to the physical pain, you set out to degrade and humiliate her in ways that are so cruel and gross that I will not identify them any further.

"Let me be blunt: I am worried you might even relish a recital of them."

The Judge added: "And then amazingly, just hours later you married your pregnant girlfriend.

"I am not asking for a response, but I just wonder what sentence you would impose if someone had done this to your wife or a female friend of yours.

"This wrongdoing, in this case, is made even worse by the serious violence that you have carried out before.

"You are, and are likely to remain, an exceptionally dangerous, violence criminal who poses the most dire risk to woman."

The court heard he grabbed the woman and demanded cash before dragging her into bushes and raping her.

After the two-hour ordeal, he took pictures of her and said she was lucky he had not filmed it, before stealing her bra and mobile phone and fleeing.

Later that same day, he married Kerry Hogg, Harry Kane's cousin, at a ceremony at The Vestry in Bromley-by-Bow, east London.

McCann was arrested and identified in an ID parade a few days after his victim reported the assault.

Last month he admitted assault by penetration, robbery and three counts of rape.

McCann was immediately identified as a suspect because of the chilling similarities to the 2006 attack.

Kate Bex QC, prosecuting, said he carried out "a sustained and systematic attack", and played "mind games in an attempt to control her".

She said: "He kept coming back to the question, 'do you think I am going to rape you?'

"At one point he said 'I am going to smash your skull on that tree if you don't do what you are told'.

"She described him as clearly wanting to feel superior."

CCTV showed him following another woman in the park at about 12.01am, who escaped, before he grabbed his victim at 12.04am.

Wearing a prison-issue grey tracksuit and sporting a bushy beard, McCann made no reaction as he was sentenced to life.
