Man United in crisis: Jose Mourinho confirms Paul Pogba could miss Man City showdown
Paul Pogba faces a fight to be fit for the Manchester derby

THE two Manchester clubs could be seriously depleted for Thursday's crucial derby at the Etihad Stadium.

Paul Pogba, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho are all sweating on being fit for a game that will have a significant bearing on deciding the Premier League's top four and Champions League qualification next season.

An exhausted Pogba – only just back from a hamstring injury – came off towards the end of Manchester United's win at Burnley.

Meanwwhile Silva, Aguero and Fernandinho all limped off in Manchester City's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Marcos Rojo, Juan Mata, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones already out, United boss Jose Mourinho will not want to lose Pogba as well.

He said: "Dead [exhausted] he is for sure, if he's injured or if it's just the super accumulation of fatigue in the muscles, I don't know.

"If he cannot play Thursday, then he cannot play Thursday, we will play another one and we don't cry."

City boss Pep Guardiola said: "Silva told me he couldn't keep playing. It would have been better to have him on the pitch, but we will never know that.

"Aguero had a dead leg from a kick. We will see how they are tomorrow."

A United win would see them leapfrog City into fourth place.
