Coventry vs Walsall - Sky Blues to assess Ben Stevenson

Posted Thursday, April 20, 2017 by PA

Coventry midfielder Ben Stevenson will be assessed ahead of Saturday's visit of Walsall.

The 20-year-old was carried off in Monday's 2-0 at Rochdale after a head injury, although he did not go to hospital.

Callum Reilly returned from a hamstring injury last week and is likely to keep his place in the Coventry midfield but Stuart Beavon missed the defeat at Rochdale through injury.

Mark Robins' side were relegated to Sky Bet League Two over the Easter weekend following their 1-1 draw with Charlton.

Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge remains out with a hamstring strain which has prematurely ended his season.

Craig MacGillivray will continue to deputise for the Saddlers having played in their last two games against Shrewsbury and Swindon.

Midfielder Reece Flanagan remains sidelined after dislocating his shoulder and will also not play against this season for Jon Whitney's side.

Erhun Oztumer, named in the League One Team of the Year this week, could return to the starting line up after being a second-half substitute in the 1-0 win over Swindon.
