John Terry next club: Two Premier League clubs enter race for Chelsea legend

SWANSEA and West Ham want to sign John Terry in the summer.

On Monday, Terry, 36, announced he would be ending his 22-year association with Chelsea at the end of the season.

Clement won the FA Cup and Premier League double with Chelsea and Terry in 2010, and is keen on coaching the defender again.

"If we stay up, why wouldn't we be interested? John is a player I know very well and as a person," said Swansea head coach Clement, who worked as an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge for two years. "I'd be more than happy to speak to him."

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is also a fan and says Terry could play for another two years at the top level.

Terry was a Hammers youth player before switching to Chelsea and was born in Barking in London's east end.

"I'm a big admirer of John, he is one of the best that ever played, not only in that position but in general," said Bilic. "We are pretty well covered in that position, we have quality and we have experience, but you never say never.

"You have examples of players at 36 playing better than when they were 27 or 28, with the experience, with looking after their bodies. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays good for another year or two."

West Ham must do without Andy Carroll at home to Everton tomorrow after the striker injured a groin muscle miskicking a shot which Andre Ayew actually scored in last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Sunderland.
