Spurs striker Harry Kane posts Instagram update on ankle injury

Spurs posted an injury update on Harry Kane earlier this evening - and it's not good news for their star striker.

It turns out that he sustained ankle ligament damage during the weekend's FA Cup game against Milwall, meaning he'll now be out of action for several weeks.

The striker missed several games through injury in autumn with a similar injury, which really took the wind out of Spurs' sails.

He'd been basically injury free since his return from that spell on the sidelines, and his return to the side coincided with an upturn in the side's fortunes

With 19 league goals to his name, Kane is currently the league's top scorer, and Spurs' attack will be badly blunted in his absence.

Never the most expressive of characters, Kane has taken to Instagram this evening with an update for the fans.

He doesn't go into any detail as to the length of his injury absence, but ensures the fans that he'll be doing everything to get back as soon as possible.
