Bayern will bid for the Colombian

The coach who brought James Rodriguez to Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has asked Bayern Munich to make an effort to bring the No.10 to Germany in the summer.

It's a deal that, apparently, has the blessing of the directors of the Bavarian club and it's a move which the Colombian would jump at.

MARCA understand that Rodriguez doesn't want to continue at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and although two months ago he ensured that his desire was to remain in Madrid and fight for his place next season, the reality is that he remains very upset with his situation.

Without quality minutes - he played neither in the Club World Cup final, nor in El Clasico or the Champions League return against Napoli - and spending more time on the bench than on the the pitch, his idea is to explore other options.

Ancelotti's Bayern is one of the most attractive proposals at the moment.

The Italian, who knows him perfectly even though they were only together for one season (14/15), wants the player for his verticality and scoring ability.

"He's a top player, I was very surprised by his level," Ancelotti told CNN not long after leaving Real.

"He has incredible talent."

Bayern's coach considers James a world-class footballer and wants to take advantage of the delicate moment he continues to experience under the orders of Zinedine Zidane.

Although James will not make any decisions until the summer, Ancelotti's call is one of the most motivating, if not the most.

James numbers in the only season he had under the Italian coach were the best season of his career.

He played 46 official games and scored 17 goals as well as supplying 18 assists - well in excess of his time at Monaco or Porto.

"Thank you for everything, in a very short time I learned a lot from you," the Colombian said on the day of the Italian's farewell.

Feasible operation

As far as the operation between clubs is concerned, both Real Madrid and Bayern know that a hypothetical negotiation for the Colombian would not be a soap opera.

As in the cases of Toni Kroos and Xabi Alonso, the talks would be swift.

The Germans and the Spaniards do not usually speculate when doing business, if they want to sell a player they set a price and that's it.

In the case of James, Real Madrid believe that the Germans would be willing to pay the 80 million euros they forked out for the Colombian in July 2014, but Bayern is not the only club interested in James.

Jose Mourinho's Manchester United are also looking at him as well as other Premier League teams such as Chelsea.

In Italy, Juventus is one of the most interested teams, but Serie A is the option that is least attractive to the player.
