Bolton Wanderers vs AFC Wimbledon - Jay Spearing and Gary Madine are doubts for Bolton

Bolton could be without both Jay Spearing and Gary Madine for AFC Wimbledon's visit to the Macron Stadium.

Wanderers skipper Spearing was forced off at half-time in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers having suffered medial ligament damage, with the club waiting to see the extent once the swelling around his knee goes down.

Madine has missed the past two games with illness and boss Phil Parkinson insists he is waiting for the doctor's clearance before determining when the striker can figure again.

Chris Long was dismissed late on against Bristol Rovers and will therefore serve a ban while Tom Thorpe (neck and back) will need to be assessed having missed that game

AFC Wimbledon duo Chris Whelpdale and Jon Meades have both returned to full training ahead of the match.

Whelpdale has recovered from a groin strain but Saturday could come too soon as the midfielder continues to regain match fitness.

Meades is also expected to have a late fitness test after he overcame an ankle problem.

Defender Barry Fuller is out. Fuller is expected to miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.
