Peterborough United vs Southend United - Peterborough missing banned duo Forrester and Grant

Peterborough must do without suspended midfield duo Chris Forrester and Anthony Grant for Tuesday's Sky Bet League One clash with Southend.

Forrester was sent off for protesting a late goal as Walsall saw off Peterborough 2-0 on Saturday, and has been hit with a two-match ban.

Grant's latest yellow card, meanwhile, has also triggered a two-match suspension, leaving boss Grant McCann forced to re-jig his line-up.

Gwion Edwards is another midfield doubt for Posh, though his injury remains unspecified. Jack Baldwin could come into contention for a start after recently shrugging off a knee injury.

Southend could be without defender Anton Ferdinand for the trip to the ABAX Stadium.

The former West Ham and QPR centre-half suffered a calf injury during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Northampton.

Ryan Inniss came on for Ferdinand and could be in line for a start with the Shrimpers waiting to discover the extent of the problem.

Winger Stephen McLaughlin is still out following an ankle problem and midfielder Will Atkinson completes a three-match ban.
