Oldham Athletic AFC vs Coventry - Oldham defender Anthony Gerrard back in contention for Coventry clash

Oldham defender Anthony Gerrard returns from suspension to face Coventry at Boundary Park.

However, the back four is not manager John Sheridan's concern as he attempts to get more goals out of a side which has scored just 17 times in 30 matches.

Midfielder Lee Croft was a late substitute in the midweek defeat by MK Dons after a month out with a hamstring injury and could get more time this weekend.

Goalkeeper Chris Kettings could be set to return to the squad after missing two matches with concussion.

Coventry are likely to be without striker Stuart Beavon for their trip to Oldham.

The 32-year old had previously battled a hamstring strain and was forced off at half-time in the Sky Blues' 2-1 EFL Trophy win over Wycombe, which sent them to a Wembley final.

Ben Stevenson is also a doubt for Russell Slade's side, who are bottom of Sky Bet League One and without a league win since November.

Kwame Thomas will return to the squad after recovering from a long-term groin problem.
