Gabriel Jesus has just received some relationship advice from a most unlikely source.

The Brazilian striker has made an impressive start to life at Manchester City, scoring three goals in three Premier League matches since arriving from Palmeiras.

In doing so, Jesus has drawn attention for his unique 'telephone' goal celebration, with one seemingly fake explanation claiming it is actually a message to an ex-girlfriend who wouldn't take his calls.

The meme has been shared around on social media and was also picked up by Nice forward Balotelli, who appeared to endorse the message by writing: "bravo. SAY NO to gold diggers!!"

Balotelli himself has adjusted well to life at his new club, with the former Liverpool striker having scored 11 goals in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side.

Despite a disappointing spell with the Reds, Balotelli became something of a cult hero during his time at Manchester City and added to his Instagram post that he misses "those colours" in reference to Pep Guardiola's side
