AS Roma 4 - 0 Fiorentina: Edin Dzeko bags brace as Roma hammer Fiorentina to reclaim second place

Edin Dzeko scored twice as Roma beat Fiorentina 4-0 to move back into second place in Serie A.
The Giallorossi had seen Napoli go above them in the race to keep up with leaders Juventus after they thrashed Bologna 7-1 on Saturday.
Fiorentina almost took an early lead when Federico Chiesa lobbed Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, but Federico Fazio was able to get back to clear off the line.
Roma slowly raised the tempo as Bruno Peres fired over from close range when picked out by Radja Nainggolan.
The home side broke the deadlock six minutes before half-time when Dzeko beat the offside trap to drill the ball past Fiorentina keeper Ciprian Tatarusanu.
It was 2-0 just before the hour when Fazio headed in a free-kick from Daniele De Rossi off the post.
The Viola were caught on the counter attack for a third goal with 15 minutes left when Nainggolan converted a cross from the left by Kevin Strootman.
Dzeko wrapped things up on 83 minutes when he robbed Fiorentina defender Davide Astori and raced clear to beat Tatarusanu again.
The Fiorentina keeper, though, then produced a fine finger-tip save to deny the Roma frontman a hat-trick.
