Alexis Sanchez posted a cryptic message to Arsenal supporters on Instagram amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the forward's future at The Emirates.

The Gunners forward was unhappy at being substituted during Arsenal's 4-0 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium last weekend.

However, Sanchez appeared to be in high spirits with manager Arsene Wenger during the north London club's training session on Wednesday afternoon.

The 28-year-old is still to commit his future to the Premier League side despite the forward being in contract negotiations with Arsenal for a number of months.

And Gunners supporters will be disheartened to read Sanchez's latest Instagram post after the South American hinted at his unhappiness, although it is unclear whether the forward is referring to his professional or private life.

Sanchez posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

"Strong people smile with a broken heart, they cry with the doors closed and fight battles that no one knows."

Sanchez has scored 14 times in the Premier League this season after his strike in Arsenal's 4-0 win at Swansea last weekend.

The South American moved to Arsenal in a £35m deal from La Liga side Barcelona in 2014.
