President wants to renew Argentinian

One of the architects of a stunning 5-0 demolition of Las Palmas, Luis Suarez has put to bed the notion that Lionel Messi would be persuaded to leave Barcelona, saying that the Argentinian is calm about his contract situation.
After one of the club directors, Pere Gratacos, appeared to suggest that Messi is only as good as he is thanks to the efforts of his teammates - something he was later dismissed for - there were suggestions that it could be the final nail in the coffin for keeping the player at the Camp Nou.
"You always misunderstand everything," he said to reporters after the game.
"He [Messi] is calm, wants to carry on [at Barcelona], and the club knows what to do.
"The president has said he wants to renew it [Messi's contract]."
Suarez was denied a hat-trick on at least two occasions, but the Uruguayan was happy with his contribution.
"You always have to help the team, that's what I work for," he continued.
With Real Madrid still some way ahead of the Catalans at the top of LaLiga, a win was vital to put pressure on Los Blancos.
"It was important to win in the league," Suarez concluded.
