Ipswich vs Blackburn Rovers - Ipswich without injured David McGoldrick for visit of Blackburn
Posted Friday, January 13, 2017 by PA
Ipswich will be without forward David McGoldrick because of a hamstring injury for the visit of Blackburn.
Captain Luke Chambers and midfielder Cole Skuse both missed the FA Cup third-round tie against Lincoln because of knee problems, but should be back in contention while defender Myles Kenlock (calf) will also be assessed.
Midfielder Luke Hyam (knee) and defender Tommy Smith (back) have stepped up their rehabilitation along with Teddy Bishop (ankle) and Paul Digby (knee).
On-loan Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams (shoulder) and Giles Coke (knee) remain out.
Neither Corry Evans or Craig Conway are ready to return for Blackburn.
A long-standing groin issue has resurfaced for Northern Ireland international Evans while Conway is set to miss a second straight contest with a hamstring problem.
Rovers are at least bolstered by the return from suspension of Darragh Lenihan, an option in either defence of midfield for manager Owen Coyle.
Long-term absentees Adam Henley (hamstring), Elliott Ward (ankle) and Tommie Hoban (shoulder) will miss out once more.
