Chesterfield vs Coventry - Ched Evans returns for Chesterfield against Coventry
Posted Friday, January 13, 2017 by PA
Ched Evans will be back in the Chesterfield squad against relegation rivals Coventry.
The striker missed the EFL Trophy defeat at Luton in midweek through injury, along with some other unnamed players who were nursing knocks from the league loss at Bradford.
Caretaker boss Ritchie Humphreys hopes those players will be fit to return together with Evans although goalkeeper Tommy Lee (shoulder) and defenders Dan Jones (foot) and Paul McGinn (hamstring) are still out.
Angel Martinez made his long-awaited return to the squad recently after a year out with a knee injury and he will be involved again.
Kevin Foley could make his Coventry debut after joining on a free transfer.
The former Wolves utility man left Charlton earlier in the month and was ineligible for the Sky Blues Checkatrade Trophy game with Brighton earlier this week.
Skipper Jordan Willis continues to nurse a hamstring problem and Nathan Clarke could return after being cup tied for the Trophy.
Jordan Turnbull is also available after suspension while Lewis Page's loan ended when he joined Charlton on a permanent move from West Ham.
