Thomas Muller is one of life's greatest gifts when he's not slagging off San Marino because he 'doesn't understand the point of such uneven games'.

Seriously though, the German forward produced a classic 'Thomas Muller moment' this week when he avoided the press by pretending to use his passport as a phone.

I mean, some footballers go to huge lengths to avoid speaking to the press, but the Bayern Munich star has won at life with this hilarious stunt.

Just look at that face...

Muller has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich is recent days, and undoubtedly reporters wanted to ask him about a potential transfer.

That wasn't going to happen though, was it.

One of the most likable characters in football has done it again.

Muller's future at the Bundesliga side has been cast into doubt, with the 27-year-old even being linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.

Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge even told Bayern forward Muller he must improve if he is to return to the starting line-up following a recent dip in form.

"You need 16, 17 or 18 players these days. We have a lot of players of the highest quality," Rummenigge told AZ

"That means every now and then two or three players will not be in the team and might be unhappy. That should be a motivation for the players to perhaps do better in certain areas in 2017. That is the case with Muller."

Away from his recent form, Muller has always been on form when it comes to pure entertainment.
