Huddersfield Town vs Blackburn Rovers - Jonathan Hogg sits out for Huddersfield
Posted Friday, December 30, 2016 by PA
Huddersfield will be without midfielder Jonathan Hogg for the home game against Blackburn.
Hogg sustained a knock in the Boxing Day win against Nottingham Forest and head coach David Wagner expects him to miss the next two matches.
First-choice goalkeeper Danny Ward, on loan from Liverpool, will be available again after missing out on Monday due to illness and is likely to replace Joel Coleman.
Forward Joe Lolley could be back in contention after being sidelined since mid-August with a foot problem, but defender Tareiq Holmes-Dennis is an injury doubt and winger Sean Scannell (ankle) is still out.
Ben Marshall is a doubt for Blackburn ahead of the trip.
The 25-year-old, who can play in midfield or defence, missed out against Barnsley on Boxing Day due to a groin strain and was sent home from training this week due to a bout of illness too.
Owen Coyle's numbers are also depleted by suspension, with Jason Lowe completing a two-match ban and Darragh Lenihan, dismissed against the Tykes, beginning a three-game suspension.
Coyle will otherwise select from the same squad as Elliott Ward (ankle), Adam Henley (hamstring) and Tommie Hoban (shoulder) are all out.
