Notts County 0 - 1 Doncaster Rovers: Williams lifts Rovers into top spot and heaps more misery on free-falling Notts

Doncaster climbed top of the table as Andy Williams' solitary goal clinched a 1-0 victory at Notts County.
Williams' eighth league goal of the season was the difference between the two sides after he headed Tommy Rowe's cross beyond Notts' goalkeeper Scott Loach in the second half.
Matty Blair could have doubled Doncaster's lead minutes later when he headed another cross from the left on to the foot of a post.
Rovers had two opportunities late in the game to further their advantage as Williams broke away on the counter-attack five minutes from time, only to pull his effort wide.
Then Liam Mandeville found himself in behind the Notts' defence deep in stoppage time, but he squeezed the ball wide from a tight angle.
The defeat was the Magpies' seventh in a row in League Two, with their last victory coming back in mid-October at Portsmouth.
