Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly a contender to replace Unai Emery following a fourth Ligue 1 defeat of the season for defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG have lost twice in the last five matches and have won only once – a 3-1 victory over Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue round of 16.
The failure to attain top spot in Champions League Group A also raised concerns after the club were held to a surprise 2-2 draw with Ludogorets at home.
Les Parisiens are now seven points behind league leaders Nice, and local reports suggest that Emery's job is on the line. According to French TV station TFI, the Spaniard is nearing an exit as PSG technical director Patrick Kluivert looks to get things back on track.
Van Gaal, who was sacked by United last May, has been touted as a potential replacement at Parc des Princes. The Dutchman has previously worked with Kluivert during their time together at Ajax.
Roberto Mancini and Fabio Capello are also reportedly in the running for the PSG post should it become available.
