Alaves 1 - 1 Las Palmas: Marko Livaja earns Las Palmas a point against Alaves

Alaves missed out on a first home win since September as Las Palmas pegged them back to a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Mendizorroza.

The hosts looked set to improve their home record when Alexis scored in the fourth minute, but Las Palmas, who had taken only four points from six away games prior to this, levelled in the 57th minute through Marko Livaja.

Alaves flew out of the blocks and after recovering possession from a corner, Theo Hernandez's cross from deep on the left was met by a cushioned volley from Alexis.

Ibai Gomez sent a free-kick off target in the 10th minute for the hosts while Jonathan Viera also failed to work the goalkeeper from 25 yards after half an hour's play.

The equaliser came 12 minutes into the second period when Helder Lopes crossed low from the left and Livaja got to the near post to send a half-volley high into the roof of the net.

Both sides had chances to go on and win it, with Deyverson stabbing a shot straight at Javi Varas from close range.

Tana then threatened for the Canary Islanders in the 67th minute but after cutting inside onto his left foot his shot was wayward.

The final chance also fell the way of the hosts but Viera blasted over when he had a clear sight of goal as the game entered its final five minutes.
