De’Longhi have just absolutely ruined Christmas for Theo Walcott’s wife

You’re Theo Walcott’s wife.

You’re married to one of the best-paid men in the country.

And Christmas is coming.

What on god’s Green earth do you buy the man who probably gets everything he wants under the sun sent to him for free by corporate lackeys anyway.

Well this year she thought she’d cracked it.

She was going to buy him a state-of-the-art coffee machine so he could have his flat whites just the way he liked them without having to leave the comfort of his own kitchen.

The gesture was all the more heartwarming as it was an incentivised gift designed to spur him on to score his 100th career goal.

Well that’s now been well and truly ruined.

Instead of letting the Walcotts alone to their romantic Christmas gift-giving, electronics giant De’Longhi have waded in.

And wrecked everything.

They’ve said they’re now going to send Theo the ‘world’s first app-controlled Bean to Cup coffee machine’ if he reaches his tonne before Christmas.

Which is exactly the deal Theo Walcott’s wife Mel was offering.

They said in a hastily assembled press release sent straight to Dream Team HQ today:

"His next goal will be the 100th of his club career for Arsenal and Southampton, and the UK’s number one coffee machine brand De’Longhi has vowed to gift the Arsenal striker the world’s first app-controlled coffee machine – the PrimaDonna Elite.”

That’s it, Christmas at the Walcott’s ruined.
