Carlo Ancelotti a mistake for Bayern Munich - Ze Roberto

Bayern Munich won a narrow match against Leverkusen, but Carlo Ancelotti says gaining points makes up for their poor play.
Ex-Bayern Munich winger Ze Roberto says his former club made a mistake by appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their coach.
Ancelotti took over in the summer after Pep Guardiola ended three successful seasons at the Bavarian club by moving to Manchester City.
Bayern dominated the Bundesliga in Guardiola's three years in charge, winning the title each time at a canter, but they have struggled to make a similarly strong impression under Ancelotti and are three points behind league leaders Leipzig with a third of the season played.
Ze Roberto, who won four league and cup doubles with Bayern between 2002 and 2009, has doubts about whether the Italian will be able to turn things around.
"Bayern made a mistake by appointing Carlo Ancelotti," the 42-year-old, who won the Brazilian title with Palmeiras at the weekend, told Sport1 television.
"But it's hard to find a coach on the same level as Pep Guardiola, or somebody who at least has a similar philosophy."
Bayern will also miss out on top spot in their Champions League group this year after suffering defeats to Atletico Madrid and Rostov. The German giants always topped the pile under Guardiola, who led them to three straight semifinals.
