Goldenball
Man United and Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won Sweden’s Player of the Year award, the Goldenball, for a record 11th time.
Zlatan has won the award every year since 2005, with the exception of 2006 when Arsenal’s Freddie Ljungberg won the award.
Statue
The 35-year-old will be immortalised outside the Friends’ Stadium with his very own statue.
“The guy from Rosengård gets his own statue in the capital of Sweden. You usually get it when you go away, but I still feel alive. The day I go away will you live on forever. So thanks,” Ibrahimovic said.
Ibrahimovic, who retired from international football earlier this year, is the country’s all-time leading scorer with 62 goals.
Zlatan did once say that if they replaced the Eiffel Tower with a statue of him then he’d remain at Paris Saint-Germain.
