Xabi Alonso showcases watch collection

An icon both on and off the pitch, Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso has opened the doors of his house to showcase one of his most precious and unique treasures: his box of watches.
IWC, Audemars Piguet, Panerai and Franck Muller are among just some of the names in this vast collection, which boasts models suited for all occasions such as formal gatherings, athletic tasks and for general down time.
There are also watches for enduring the most extreme situations, such as when the former Real Madrid player goes diving.
Mr Porter provided Alonso the platform to show his collection, a clothing website who collaborated with the Spaniard to promote their new winter range.
Alonso touched on the importance of family throughout the video, and what it means to him.
"A watch is never truly yours to keep yourself, but yours to look after until the next generation."
His children are in luck.
