HECTOR BELLERIN has signed a new six-year contract at Arsenal - and reportedly jumped at the chance to agree an extension.
The Gunners have been looking to secure their star defender to a long-term deal with Manchester City and Barcelona hovering.
Pep Guardiola was a keen admirer and said to be desperate to bring Bellerin to the Etihad.
But the former Barcelona youth has ended transfer talk by committing to Arsene Wenger's side.
According to the Mirror, Bellerin was so eager to sign that a deal was agreed with the club within just four days.
The new contract, which keeps him at Arsenal until 2022, will see the 21-year-old earn in excess of £100,000 a week including bonuses and add-ons.
That equates to more than £30m, with Wenger's team now settled at right-back for years to come.
An injury scare while on international duty with Spain's Under-21s side could mar the defender's new deal, with Bellerin having reportedly been unable to take part in full training today.
But long-term, the Gunners will be delighted to have fended off interest in the youngster, and now their attention will apparently turn to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
The Mirror claim Arsenal want to tie the pair down on similar deals to Bellerin's, with both in the final two years of their contracts.
Talks are said to have begun with the attacking duo, and Wenger is hopeful Ozil will sign with an agreement close.
The German wants close to £200,000 a week for five years.
Sanchez meanwhile, who has suffered a low-grade calf tear on international duty with Chile, wants a buy-out clause in any new deal.
