Sevilla 4 - 0 Dinamo Zagreb: Sevilla top of Group H after emphatic win over Dinamo Zagreb

Sevilla thrashed 10-man Dinamo Zagreb 4-0 to go top of Group H and put one foot in the last 16.

Luciano Vietto opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark before the sending off of Dinamo's Peter Stojanovic in first-half stoppage time put the hosts firmly in the driving seat.

The hosts had already dominated the first half but with the extra-man advantage, they pushed on after the break with further goals from Sergio Escudero, Steven N'Zonzi and Wissam Ben Yedder.

Jorge Sampaoli's men would have secured a last-16 place on the night had Juventus beaten Lyon, but a 1-1 draw in Turin meant they had to be satisfied with going two points clear of Juve at the top of the group for now.

N'Zonzi had already struck the crossbar by the time Vietto gathered Franco Vazquez's cross from the left and turned his man to open the scoring after 31 minutes - although goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic might have done better after getting a hand to the shot.

Stojanovic was shown his first yellow card after just 11 minutes, and a late tackle on Vitolo seconds before the half-time interval earned him an early shower.

Sevilla ensured it was one-way traffic throughout the second half.

Ganso, making his first start since September 17, and Vitolo both spurned chances before Escudero doubled their lead in the 66th minute, linking up with Ganso and Vitolo before firing a powerful low shot into the far corner of the net.

With the game already beyond Dinamo, Sevilla added a final flourish as it moved into the final 10 minutes.

N'Zonzi scored a third goal in the 80th minute when he headed in Pablo Sarabia's corner, and with three minutes remaining Ben Yedder made it four with a close-range effort.

The win takes Sevilla on to 10 points from four games, and the Europa League holders are still yet to concede in the Champions League this season.

For Dinamo, however, the defeat ends their hopes of progression and leaves them looking to the Europa League.
