Walsall vs Coventry - Maz Kouhyar sidelined for Saddlers
Posted Friday, October 28, 2016 by PA
Maz Kouhyar is out for Walsall but his knee injury is not as bad as first feared.
The midfielder is likely to be sidelined for around six weeks but the Saddlers had concerns he could have missed the next three months after surgery last Friday.
Striker Simeon Jackson and midfielder Florent Cuvelier could return against Coventry.
Jackson (groin) has missed the Saddlers' last four games and Cuvelier (foot) has not played since the end of September.
Chris McCann is a doubt for Coventry after hobbling off in last weekend's victory over Rochdale.
Andy Rose was named on the bench against Dale following his recovery from a knee injury and is a possible replacement for McCann, although it was Kyel Reid who came off the bench.
Striker Kwame Thomas (groin) and defender Chris Stokes (knee) both remain out.
Interim boss Mark Venus has won three of his four games in charge and another victory could lift the Sky Blues out of the relegation zone.
