Cheltenham Town vs Blackpool - Dan Holman close to Cheltenham return
Posted Friday, October 28, 2016 by PA
Cheltenham forward Dan Holman is closing on a return following a toe operation, but the visit of Blackpool comes too soon for him.
Holman, who netted 16 goals in the second half of last season after joining from Woking to spearhead the Robins' promotion push, has not featured since mid-August, but is now just waiting for the swelling to reduce and will be eased back into action gradually.
Striker Daniel Wright is available again after sitting out the win at Grimsby through suspension, while Amari Morgan-Smith impressed when coming off the bench.
Midfielders James Rowe (ankle) and Alex Cooper (hamstring) are stepping up their recovery, while defender Asa Hall (Achilles) continues his rehabilitation.
Gary Bowyer has reported no new problems for Blackpool ahead of the trip.
Goalkeeper Dean Lyness remains out with ankle-ligament damage so Sam Slocombe will continue between the sticks.
Danny Pugh came through last weekend's win over Doncaster with no problems after sustaining a bruised foot.
Jack Redshaw, with his ongoing shin splints issue, is Bowyer's only absentee.
