Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos has rubbished speculation over a possible transfer to Barcelona, maintaining that his current club have great belief in him.
Luis Enrique is believed to be on the hunt for a new long-term partner for summer signing Samuel Umtiti, with Javier Mascherano, Gerard Pique and Jeremy Mathieu all in the latter stages of their careers.
Marquinhos is thought of as one of the world's most talented defenders, and has been learning from compatriot Thiago Silva since joining the French champions from Roma back in 2013.
The Brazilian told Canal Football Club (via the Daily Mail): "An offer from Barcelona? PSG have always had great faith in me.
Towards the end of last season, I started to get more game time. Would I say no to Barcelona? I have no need to tell them anything, because PSG will not sell me.
"Could I join the Catalans later? For now, I want to make my life in Paris if everything continues like this. I am really good in Paris right now."
Marquinhos was the subject of avid interest from the Catalan club before the last transfer window had even opened, but he's become an integral part of the PSG back-line, even more so over the last few months following the departure of David Luiz.
This season the 22-year-old has seen his side struggle to impose their dominance in Ligue 1, sitting third on 20 points; six behind surprise leaders Nice.
