Juventus vs Sampdoria - Sami Khedira keen for Juventus to bounce back against Sampdoria

Juventus will look to bounce back from the disappointment of losing to AC Milan when they take on Sampdoria in Serie A on Wednesday.

The five-time reigning champions suffered their second defeat of the campaign on Saturday, with Manuel Locatelli scoring the only goal at San Siro.

That cut Juve's lead at the top of the table to two points, and midfielder Sami Khedira is happy there is an immediate chance to return to winning ways.

Quoted on the club website, the German said: "We're not happy about losing obviously because we'd like to win every game, but the season is long, we're only in October and there are 38 fixtures in total.

"We've analysed our performance and we'll try to improve next time out. The good thing is that we have the chance in just three or four days to get a better result, which is what we're looking to do against Sampdoria on Wednesday.

"Milan have improved a lot since last year and we've also seen that Roma and Napoli too are great teams, but when we're on our game we're one of the best sides in Europe. It's our job to show that on the field."

Juventus are set to be without striker Paulo Dybala, who is struggling with a thigh injury.

Sampdoria go into the match in good spirits after ending a run of six matches without a win by beating Genoa 2-1 in the derby at the weekend to give them some breathing space over the bottom three.

Boss Marco Giampaolo said on the club website: "It's a great feeling to win the derby. Our fans have never abandoned us, not even in the really difficult times. I'm pleased for the lads and for all our fans.

"This win gets us back on track and boosts morale. We'll push on from here taking each game as it comes. Now we can go into our next match - even such a daunting one as Juventus - with a weight off our shoulders."
