Ryan Giggs criticises Manchester United players' behaviour after Chelsea game

Sunday afternoon's game between Chelsea and Manchester United will have been pretty frustrating viewing if you're a fan of Jose Mourinho's side.

The Red Devils' travelling support made themselves heard despite seeing their team succumb to a 4-0 defeat, but they must be feeling hugely disappointed as they make the journey home.

Anyone with any connection to United was given very little to smile about, and as you'd expect, the final whistle was greeted with the sight of Mourinho looking absolutely furious.

However, the severity of the situation didn't appear to have got through to some of the United dressing room.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was seen laughing shortly after full-time, while several other United players took a moment to swap shirts with their Chelsea counterparts.

Unsurprisingly, that didn't go unnoticed by club legend Ryan Giggs, who was rarely on the receiving end of a defeat quite like this one.

As a man who spent 29 years at United in one capacity or another, the Welshman is still hugely passionate and did not seem happy with the attitude on display from some of their biggest, underperforming stars.

GIGGS UNIMPRESSED

"You can get beat in a football match, but then you're getting beat and you're swapping shirts - which is something I don't like, call me old fashioned," Giggs told the Premier League's official match day show, as reported by 101GreatGoals.

"If you get beat 4-0, you congratulate the opposition, you thank the supporters and then you get off the pitch.

"You don't stand around on the pitch, swapping shirts and laughing, with the team that's just beat you."

It seems David de Gea may have been who Giggs was referring to, as he was seen sharing a joke with Chelsea's Marcos Alonso.

It's fair to say the stopper was probably feeling a little exasperated after being let down so badly by his defenders, but even so, United fans may well be wondering whether he was taking the result seriously.

United haven't lost this heavily since they went down 6-1 at home to Manchester City in 2011 - in short, this was a big moment in their season, and one that could affect their chances of finishing in the top four, let alone challenging for the title.
