RB Leipzig 3 - 1 Werder Bremen:Leipzig go second after beating Werder Bremen
Posted Monday, October 24, 2016 by PA
Leipzig extended their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season to eight games with a 3-1 win over Werder Bremen.
Naby Keita opened the scoring three minutes before half-time and added their second with 15 minutes remaining.
Serge Gnabry made things interesting a minute later, but Davie Selke's late goal against his former club sealed Leipzig's win and took Ralph Hasenhuttl's men to within two points of Bayern Munich at the top of the table.
Bremen had to accept their first defeat since Alexander Nouri was appointed as their full-time coach and remain just above the relegation zone.
