St Etienne secured their first Ligue 1 away win of the season with a 2-0 success at Caen.
Henri Saivet and Jordan Veretout, on loan respectively from Newcastle and Aston Villa, came up with their first goals for Les Verts at the start of the second half.
Saivet opened the scoring with a sweet 49th-minute volley and Veretout added the second nine minutes later from close range.
Veretout had almost opened his account in the first half with a 25-yard drive which was well saved by Remy Vercoutre.
Struggling Caen have now lost five of their last seven matches.
