Ahead of LA Galaxy's final game of the 2016 MLS regular season, Steven Gerrard has written a goodbye message to the Californian club's fanbase, suggesting that his departure is imminent.
Before entering the play-offs, the team hosts FC Dallas on Sunday at the Stubhub Center, but the player has thanked fans in advance of the campaign's end.
"Living in Los Angeles and playing for the great Galaxy supporters has been a privilege," the 36-year-old wrote on Instagram on Saturday.
"You have made this place feel like home to me.
"This city and this club will always hold a special place in my heart.
"Thank you."
Since arriving in July 2015, the midfielder has scored five goals in his 36 appearances, but it does not appear as if he will be making many more outings in the team's colours.
A return to Anfield to work with Jurgen Klopp has been rumoured, but the player has yet to clarify his next step.
