Chesterfield vs Scunthorpe United - Injury blow for Chesterfield ahead of clash with leaders Scunthorpe

Chesterfield have suffered an injury setback ahead of their home game against Sky Bet League One leaders Scunthorpe.

Boss Danny Wilson refused to be drawn on whether it was defender Paul McGinn or striker Ched Evans, both of whom made their return to the squad after injury against Fleetwood in midweek.

Kristian Dennis is also a fresh injury worry after sustaining a calf problem on Tuesday night and he will be assessed.

Fellow forward Conor Wilkinson is definitely out with a knee injury which could spell the end of his loan from Bolton.

Luke Daniels is a doubt for Scunthorpe as they look to bounce back from only their second defeat of the season at Oldham in midweek.

Daniels suffered a head injury against MK Dons and will be given a late fitness test by boss Graham Alexander.

Scunthorpe are still without injured trio Harry Toffolo, Luke Williams and Jordan Clarke.

Toffolo and Williams are making good progress on their respective injuries but are set to face at least another two weeks on the sidelines.
