Celta Vigo 2 - 2 Ajax Amsterdam: Celta Vigo and Ajax play out entertaining draw

Celta Vigo and Ajax shared four goals in an entertaining 2-2 draw to keep themselves at the head of Europa League Group G.

The Dutch side, chasing a 10th straight win, took the lead on 22 minutes through a fine individual effort from Hakim Ziyech.

Vigo, though, were soon level when the ball looped in off captain Andreu Fontas.

There was nothing fortunate about the next two goals, with winger Amin Younes firing Ajax back into the lead on 71 minutes only for a similarly impressive finish from substitute Fabian Orellana to draw the Spaniards level again in the 82nd minute.

Ajax remain at the top of the group, two points ahead of Vigo, who are now three ahead of Panathinaikos following the Greek's 2-2 draw at Standard Liege.

The visitors went ahead on 22 minutes following a swift counter-attack.

Kasper Dolberg, the 19-year-old Danish forward, fed the ball up to Ziyech out on the left.

The Morocco international strode forwards into the penalty area before holding off a challenge at the near post and then rolling an angled shot low past goalkeeper Blanco Ruben.

Ajax, however, failed to retain their advantage for long as Celta were level after only seven minutes.

Alvaro Lemos floated a deep free-kick up into the Ajax penalty area, where it was knocked down and bounced off Vigo skipper Fontas before looping over stranded goalkeeper Andre Onana into the far corner.

Both sides had chances following the restart, but it was Ajax who eventually took the lead again on 71 minutes through a fine effort from Younes.

There was still plenty of work to do after being fed the ball out on the left, but Younes coasted to the edge of the penalty area before cutting back inside defender Facundo Roncaglia and rifling a fierce angled drive into the far corner.

With just eight minutes left, Vigo found the equaliser through another well-taken goal.

Substitute Orellana spun his marker to cut in from the right and the Chile winger then promptly curled the ball into the top corner to secure a share of the points for Eduardo Berizzo's side.
